NEWS FROM THE KILN

FALL 2018

superclearance

SATURDAY, october 6th and Sunday, october 7th

Hello Friends of Cornwall Bridge Pottery:

I write today to invite you to our Annual Columbus Day SUPERClearance. Saturday and Sunday October 6th and 7th from 10 am -- 5 pm. As in years past this is the traditional “clearing of the shelves” that makes room for the new pots in the pipeline as we prepare for the Holiday season.

The Good News is that since the recent move from the massive building in West Cornwall to the more manageable space here at my Workshop/Store in Cornwall Bridge we have decided to whittle away at the enormous collection of pots that sit in storage waiting for their day in the sun. This is an obvious opportunity –Win, Win so to speak—to liquidate in a way that assures good homes for these creations.

Since I’ve always considered my pots to be akin to offspring it is important that they find their way into the world. To this end, for this specific event, we will be discounting many of the pots to 50% of their original price. As we cull through the collection the Discount will increase to as much as 80% based on a variety of the following criteria:

* length of time in storage

* quantity of style, color, size left in inventory

* quality and/or condition of specific pot

Obviously, the more criteria met the deeper the Discount. You will see this reflected in the display when you visit and we will do our best to photograph and explain it when/if you shop online.

Stay tuned for an ONLINE opportunity to shop before the event. There will be FREE SHIPPING for purchases of $100 or more.

Thanks again for your continued support.

Also, join me this Columbus Day weekend for the third annual road tour of 9 of the great clay studios, featuring 14 artists in and around Litchfield County at the start of the leaf color season. We are part of American Craft Week, a nationwide celebration of American craft and all it creates: jobs, vibrant communities, economic growth, an exceptional national heritage and a beautiful aesthetic for our homes and public places.

October 6th & 7th, 10am to 5pm

Learn more and see the other participating artists and studios at ClayWay 2018.

Sincerely,
