This pot, inspired by Cezanne's painting "Curtain, Pitcher and Fruit Dish" (Rideau, Cruchon et Compotier)1893-1894 is the first piece I made in this Pots From Paintings series and to this day remains the most interesting, exciting and succesful of my efforts in this series. In 1999 this painting sold for $60,000,000 to a private bidder. Sotheby's had estimated the sale at $35 million. This same bottle shows up in a number of other Cezanne paintings. To see some of them Google 'Cezanne Bottle' through the Images tab. The pots offered below are the ones available as of May 2009.
