This 6-cup CoffeePot is made in homage to Svend Bayer. It is almost an exact replica of a small coffeepot that my parents bought from his shop when he first set up in Beaworthy, Devon in the late 1970's. His pot was a 2 cup CoffeePot and I've expanded it to become a large vessel. But the efficiency of shape remains. I was originally drawn to it because it reminds me of the carafes that were used on trains to serve boiling hot water for tea. The tight, straight neck often was also the handhold, insulated and ribbed to assure a firm grip as the train rumbled into the night. Very romantic but also extremely functional. This pretty much sums up my own interest in pots in general. By the way, there is a strainer at the base of the spot so it is suitable to use loose tea leaves. Available with blue stripes or brown (enlarge photos for better look). Your choice.
